Cultural heritage represents human creativity in all areas of everyday life. We could say it is inherited from one generation to another.

Kozjanski park, a landscape of many different faces, shows its diversity also in the field of cultural heritage. A rich cultural heritage and nature that has to be preserved are two themes that intertwin constantly. Archaeological site, parish and pilgrimage churches, mighty castles, medieval markets and the heritage of the everyday life are the things that excite people´s imagination and stimulate their desire to research. Stories and legends in which the main actors are giants Ajdje, the peasant rebels, locals and evil dragons enrich space of Kozjansko. In the landscape, where Alps meet the Pannonian Plain, mountain and lowland influences are mixed, which is not reflected only in nature but also in the lives of the locals.
